Becky with the Good Hair

April 29, 2016 by Becky Leave a Comment

Well it took Beyonce to talk about me in a song to bring the blog back  Yes it is   Becky with the Good hair.  Where is my face in all that and how much aqua net did I use!IMG_2342 (1)

The blog has taken a definitely taken a back seat to cattle shows that consume our life from Jan – March .  We just finished the cattle sales we have and now my days consist of answering questions about cattle semen to whether we can get a logo on a pet toothbrush and running boys .     Not many people can have as much fun as I do!!

Tyler went to Prom this past weekend.  Wow talk about making you feel old -how do they grow up so fast.   I took lots of pics !!  This one is one of my favorites.   I’m a sucker for black and white.

Speaking of favorites,  my new favorite earrings I saw when I was in Round Top and got to meet the famous Melanie Shankle who writes my favorite books.

She had on a pair that looked very similar to this and I thought they were gold and lo and behold they are leather that looks like gold.  So lightweight and I’ve gotten a ton of compliments on them.   You can find them on Instagram Savay Sterling Designs.https://www.instagram.com/savay_sterling/

What a crazy fun week!  So we now have two football players in the house, and its time again for some Aggie Tailgating- whoop!!!!  As Mason was singing This is the most wonderful time of year on Friday as he was baking cupcakes I was thinking Why yes it is!!!   We have St.Rose Football and because our school is so small 6th graders get to play!  Mason is beyond excited !   The St. Rose Cardinals won their first game!! Landry’s first pep rally and his awesome teacher Jaime- Landry is not so sure about any mascots so that is why he has that look. photo 1 (3)

Mom, I need a Magazine!

August 27, 2015 by Becky 5 Comments

That is what Landry yelled at me from the bathroom and that is when I decided I need to build my own bathroom!!!  I’m seriously outnumbered.  What am I  going to do with 4 Males that all have to spend a large amount of time in the bathroom.

Last week was a big week as Landry started his first day of 3K.   Yes, I cried like a baby- pretty much all week but now I’m getting used to it.  He absolutely loves it and Mason has to check his folder everyday after school and quiz him on everything he did that day.   Not sure what Mason’s motive is with all these questions but its hilarious.  Mason asks him everyday ” Did you play with anybody new today? ”    I think Mason is worried he will have no friends :)))) He was practicing carrying lunchbox and carrying backpack even though he does not ride his bike to school. photo (19)Here are the three of them on the first day of school

photo (20)I have to catch up everything up from summer.  We had so much fun and I have so many pictures to upload.   Hopefully now with so much time on my hands I can keep up with this blog!!

My name is Becky and I’m a self help junkie

May 13, 2015 by Becky 3 Comments

If you have known me very long you know I love reading and love learning.   If somebody looked at my kindle they would crack up – this amazon one click thing is not good for somebody with ADHD(not diagnosed just pretty sure) at any time my computer has 40 tabs open (Drives Dave absolutely crazy) – I have about 10 books that I’m currently reading  from Living Well, spending less to the Sports Gene.   I wish all I did was read.  The problem is Time!!   I finally got to finish a book on our last trip to Massachusetts where Dave was judging- Nobody is Cuter than You by Melanie Shankle is an awesome book and had me doing the ugly cry on the plane.   I highly recommend it.   She will be at the Wealth and Wisdom conference at Texas A&M this Friday and I  can’t wait to go .   Surely with the name wealth and wisdom I could learn something 🙂 and maybe go to the Dixie Chicken!!!    Dave probably thinks he is married to a crazy person – I’m constantly listening to webinars, making the boys write their goals down,  using one of the 80 apps I download thinking I’m going to nail this time management thing down.  (NOT)

This weekend I got to spend in Georgetown with my mom and Dad.  Boys were at a cattle sale in Hondo.   I really can’t think of a better way to spend Mother’s Day than being spoiled by my mom:) I got to eat my favorites risotto and minestrone soup, lots of hot tea and rum cake.

It’s the little things that makes moms happy.  Landry got to go the toyshop in Georgetown and to top it off when I got back home my girlfriends and I decided to get together to celebrate!!! ( With margaritas)

Some of the other happenings around here – more rain than we have ever had ( Thank the Lord), the boys broke the handle off of my car – seriously ???? and we went through an entire box of cereal in less than 24 hrs.   Here’s to 6 more days of school!!!  photo (17)

My first post!

May 6, 2015 by Becky 7 Comments

Well, here it goes.  I’ve wanted to do a blog for a while just as a place to keep memories of our life.    First of all I’m not a writer so bear with me !!  I’ll start out with why I called it Gypsie Crazy.   Its not because everybody has used Gypsy in their name it is because of somebody I loved more than anything!!!   My grandmothers name was Gypsie and I can’t tell you how special she was in my life.  She taught me so many things!  How to laugh at yourself, how to try new things, how to have great friends, and how to have a great family that you cherish. I added crazy to the name because she would love the craziness my life has in it.   She was always doing new things and not afraid of anything.   This blog will incorporate all the things I love.  I love photography so there will be lots of pics, I love to cook so there will be recipes and I love my life ( wife , mom , life on a ranch) so there will be lots of stories.   Right now is one of the busiest times of the year with some sports ending track and golf, some beginning again swimming, 7 on 7 and baseball.   It seems as if we never eat dinner at home but lots of fun times with friends  and I love spring!! It can’t be any prettier with all the rain we have had .  Here is a pic of my grandma Gypsie , my grandpa, and their children ( sorry Clay you werent’ here yet)!   I hope you enjoy the blog! thompsons
